What does Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique smell like?
Rochas released Escapade Exotique for summer 2019 as a limited edition. It's a variation on Eau de Rochas, the house's famous citrus fresh scent. The theme is a getaway to faraway islands. The opening is lively. Blood orange and blackcurrant bring tang, and apple adds crunch. The heart is very fruity. Melon and watermelon give a watery feel, close to iced fruit juice. Jasmine stays in the background and only lightly flowers the mix. You'd hardly call it a floral. The base sets down white cedar, ambroxan and musk, clean and a little salty. Compared with the original Eau de Rochas, which is more lemony and mossy, Escapade Exotique is clearly sweeter and younger. Longevity is weak, as usual for these summer editions. It's no longer produced and mostly shows up as leftover stock.
When to wear it
A beach and holiday scent for hot days. Spray freely and top up in the afternoon.
