What does Voce Viva Intensa smell like?
Less than a year after Voce Viva, Valentino launched Intensa in summer 2021. The idea is simple: keep the orange blossom of the original and turn up the warmth. Bergamot and mandarin open on a freshness that does not last. Orange blossom then arrives with sambac jasmine, fleshier and sunnier than in the 2020 version. The ginger of the original is gone, which makes the start rounder. The base keeps the house's crystal moss accord, clean and nearly mineral. Bourbon vanilla wraps around it and soon takes over. Next to Voce Viva, Intensa is sweeter and lasts longer on skin. Against Giorgio Armani's My Way Intense, another vanilla orange blossom, it reads more floral and less ambery. It is easy to like. It is also short on contrast, and the sweetness never really lets up.
When to wear it
A warm floral for autumn and spring evenings. Two sprays are enough, since the vanilla grows after an hour.
