Our take
What does Nomade Absolu de Parfum smell like?
Chloé released Nomade Absolu de Parfum in 2020, two years after the original Nomade. Quentin Bisch composed it at Givaudan. The brand lists only five notes, which is enough to get the idea. It opens on a yellow mirabelle plum that smells picked rather than candied. Davana follows with a slightly boozy edge. Then oakmoss takes over. Everything turns darker and greener, with a hint of wet soil. Think of a forest floor after rain. The base stays soft. Creamy sandalwood and a quiet musk sit close to the skin. There is little sugar here, which is unusual for a recent fruity chypre. Next to the Nomade Eau de Parfum, this version gains depth and loses some brightness. From a distance it recalls Guerlain's Mitsouko, with a yellower fruit and a less bitter moss.
When to wear it
A fruity chypre for autumn and cool days at the office. Two sprays are plenty, since the moss clings to clothes for a long time.
It belongs to the Chypre, Fruity family. Nomade Absolu de Parfum is one of 9 creations by Chloé in our encyclopedia.
