What does Only The Brave Extreme smell like?
Diesel announced Only The Brave Extreme in March 2016, seven years after the first Only The Brave. Aliénor Massenet and Carlos Benaim composed this darker version. The clenched-fist bottle stays, now in a deeper blue. The opening is true to the family. Primofiore lemon and mandarin give a juicy spark, and coriander leaf makes it more aromatic. The heart is a small surprise. Crisp apple meets rose and violet petals for a fairly soft, fruity turn. The base is the whole point of this flanker. Patchouli and tonka lay down a sweet woody warmth, clearly denser than in the original. Diesel's current listing also mentions leather, labdanum and styrax, which suggests the formula has been revised since. Compared with Only The Brave, Extreme is rounder and less lemony. It is clearly built for nights out.
When to wear it
An autumn and winter scent for going out. Two or three sprays, as the tonka base lasts a long time.
