Our take
What does Armani Code pour Femme smell like?
Armani Code for women arrived in 2006, two years after the men's version. Three heavyweights signed it: Carlos Benaïm, Olivier Polge and Dominique Ropion. The opening is lively. Fresh ginger stings and bitter orange adds a zesty bitterness that wakes you up. Then orange blossom takes over. It defines the perfume, lush and slightly animalic, backed by a sunny jasmine. Honey comes in early and gives an almost sticky texture, like a flower left out in the sun too long. The base is creamy. Sandalwood, vanilla and tonka form a warm sheet that smells of clean skin. It sits among the mid-2000s floral orientals, brighter than Shalimar and less sugary than Hypnotic Poison. It is sold today as Armani Code Femme.
When to wear it
An evening scent for autumn and winter. Two sprays are enough, as the honey and orange blossom carry far.
It belongs to the Floral, Oriental / Amber family. Armani Code pour Femme is one of 52 creations by Giorgio Armani in our encyclopedia.
