What does Voce Viva smell like?
Valentino released Voce Viva in September 2020 with Lady Gaga as the face. Honorine Blanc and Amandine Clerc-Marie composed it. It opens bright: bergamot and mandarin, with ginger giving a small sting at the back of the nose. Orange blossom takes over quickly. Creamy gardenia supports it and jasmine stays quieter, so the heart smells like a freshly cut white bouquet. The base rests on what the house calls a crystal moss accord. Don't expect an earthy chypre here. This moss is clean and nearly mineral, and its job is to keep the sugar in check. Vanilla and tonka round things off while sandalwood smooths the edges. Next to Giorgio Armani's My Way, another orange blossom from the same year, Voce Viva ends up warmer and sweeter.
When to wear it
An easy floral for spring and autumn that works at the office and at dinner. Two sprays on the neck are enough, since the vanilla base grows after the first hour.
