Our take
What does My Way Intense smell like?
A year after My Way, Giorgio Armani released an Intense version in 2021. Retailers credit Carlos Benaim, who also worked on the original. The brief is easy to read: keep the orange blossom and push everything else toward warmth. Bitter orange opens with a zesty bite that wakes up the nose. Orange blossom arrives almost at once and carries you into the heart. There an Indian tuberose takes over. It is creamy and a little narcotic, far louder than in the 2020 version. The base pairs New Caledonian sandalwood with Madagascar vanilla. It is soft and nearly milky, and it lasts. Next to My Way, this one loses the clean laundry lightness and gains body. Don't expect the drama of Fracas, though. The tuberose stays polite and easy to wear.
When to wear it
Best for evenings and the colder months, on skin rather than clothes. Two sprays are more than enough.
It belongs to the Floral, Oriental / Amber family. My Way Intense is one of 46 creations by Giorgio Armani in our encyclopedia.
