Our take
What does Audace smell like?
Rochas presented Audace in January 2025, a women's eau de parfum the house calls an ambery floral gourmand. The name borrows from a 1936 Rochas chypre, but the two perfumes are unrelated. The opening is fruity and fizzy. Raspberry leads, with mandarin and pink pepper adding a prickle. The heart brings tuberose, rose and orange blossom. Tuberose takes charge, creamy rather than green. The base sets down musk, sandalwood and a fairly sweet tonka bean. After an hour you mostly smell a floral cream with a light vanilla edge. It resembles a lot of recent launches. Beside Carolina Herrera's Good Girl, it is less dark and more fruity. Against Gucci Bloom, it is clearly sweeter. The bottle, designed as a trophy, draws more attention than the scent inside. It will please plenty of people and challenge almost no one.
When to wear it
An autumn and winter evening scent for nights out. Two sprays are enough since the tonka base hangs on.
It belongs to the Floral, Oriental / Amber family. Audace is one of 21 creations by Rochas in our encyclopedia.
