Our take
What does Sky di Gioia smell like?
Giorgio Armani added Sky di Gioia to the Acqua di Gioia line in 2016, according to most retailers. No perfumer is credited. The sky blue bottle sets the tone, swapping sea for sky. The opening is sweet and juicy. Lychee leads while pear adds crunch. In the heart, rose and pink peony make a fresh, very smooth bouquet. The base stays light with dry cedar, white musk and a blackberry that brings back some fruit. Nothing sticks out. Acqua di Gioia from 2010 relied on mint, lemon and an aquatic accord. Sky di Gioia keeps the sheerness but trades green freshness for fruit. The pear keeps the lychee from turning syrupy, which is the best idea here. Fans of light fruity florals will like it. It lacks a signature that would set it apart from dozens of similar scents.
When to wear it
