What does Oui La Vie est Belle smell like?
To mark ten years of La Vie est Belle, Lancôme released Oui La Vie est Belle in early 2022. It was a limited edition sold as an Eau de Parfum d'Exception. The house has not named the perfumers. The opening pairs bergamot with pink pepper and a fairly tart raspberry accord. The heart changes the original recipe. Damask rose takes the place of orange blossom and joins ylang-ylang for a redder, fleshier bouquet. The base keeps the family DNA. Powdery iris, patchouli and vanilla are all there, with a gourmand accord that recalls praline. On skin the rose stays readable for a good two hours before sugar takes over. Compared with the 2012 La Vie est Belle, Oui is fruitier and more floral. It is just as sweet, so people who dislike gourmands will find nothing new here.
When to wear it
An evening scent for autumn and winter, when sweetness feels more natural. One spray is enough because it projects hard.
