What does Infusion de Mandarine smell like?
Prada released Infusion de Mandarine in summer 2018. It was the first citrus in Les Infusions, and Daniela Andrier composed it like the others. Green mandarin opens with a crushed zest feel. Bitter orange and mandarin leaf add a welcome vegetal bitterness, like peel folded between your fingers. The heart turns white with neroli and orange blossom absolute, sunny more than sweet. Then comes the twist. An opoponax base, warm and balsamic, gives it a depth you rarely find in a citrus. Infusion d’Iris, released in the same line in 2007, played clean and powdery. Infusion de Mandarine keeps that transparency but warms it with resin. Prada sells it as unisex, and it truly works on anyone. On a man it reads like a smart cologne. On a woman it feels closer to a soft orange blossom.
When to wear it
Ideal for a summer office or a slow Sunday. Spray generously, since the citrus top fades fast before the opoponax settles in.
