Our take
What does Wanted Girl smell like?
Azzaro released Wanted Girl in spring 2019, three years after the men's Wanted. Four perfumers signed it: Fanny Bal, Jean-Christophe Hérault, Dominique Ropion and Loc Dong. The opening brings ginger flower and pomegranate, with pink pepper and a first hint of orange blossom. The heart rests on an odd couple. On one side sits datura, a white flower with a narcotic smell. On the other is dulce de leche, the caramelized milk spread loved across Argentina. That note sets the tone, and the perfume smells of cooked cream for a good hour. The base mixes vetiver with tonka and vanilla. Vetiver's dryness keeps the whole thing from turning into dessert. It shares the gourmand floral idea of La Vie est Belle, but the caramel makes it milkier and less fruity. On a scarf it lasts well into the night.
When to wear it
Save it for autumn and winter evenings, where the caramel makes sense. One or two sprays will do since the trail spreads quickly.
It belongs to the Floral, Oriental / Amber family. Wanted Girl is one of 24 creations by Azzaro in our encyclopedia.
