Our take
What does Mademoiselle Azzaro smell like?
Mademoiselle Azzaro came out in 2015 as an eau de toilette composed by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni. The house, long tied to the fougères of Azzaro pour Homme, wanted a young and accessible feminine. It opens on ripe peach and mandarin blossom. Fruity, yes, but not syrupy. The heart brings together peony, jasmine and orange blossom in a clean and almost soapy bouquet. Azzaro then announces a woody, ambery iris accord. On skin you mostly get a soft powder and a small caramel note right at the end. The whole thing stays discreet and lasts a few hours. Compared with Chloé Eau de Parfum, another widely worn powdery peony, Mademoiselle Azzaro is fruitier and much less rosy. It would make a sensible first perfume for a teenager. Adults may find it a bit short-lived.
