Our take
What does Calvin Klein Women Eau de Parfum smell like?
Women was the first Calvin Klein fragrance made under Raf Simons. Annick Ménardo and Honorine Blanc composed it, and it came out in July 2018, first at Harvey Nichols. The brand sums it up as three materials: eucalyptus, orange blossom and Alaskan cedar. The opening is unexpected. Eucalyptus smells like a crushed leaf, almost minty, with a bit of pepper and citrus around it. Orange blossom follows. It is fairly dry, far from the honeyed versions most brands sell. Magnolia and jasmine keep it company in the background. The base rests on clean cedar with a pencil-shaving smell, which incense and ambroxan make more mineral. It suggests a Scandinavian interior more than a night out. It stays crisp and airy, with reasonable staying power on skin.
