Our take
What does Light Blue Eau Intense pour Homme smell like?
Dolce & Gabbana extended Light Blue in 2017 with two Eau Intense versions, and gave the men's one to Alberto Morillas. David Gandy returned for the campaign, shot by Mario Testino on Capri. Mandarin and frozen grapefruit kick things off with an almost sorbet-like chill. The heart brings the sea. Juniper meets a salty aquatic accord, like skin drying after a swim. The base is simple. Amber woods and musks keep the clean effect going for hours. The 2007 Light Blue pour Homme is more lemony and aromatic. The Eau Intense lasts longer and smells saltier. Acqua di Giò Profumo comes to mind for the marine mood, though this is brighter and lighter. The women's version by Olivier Cresp has little in common with it. On skin the salt lingers longest.
When to wear it
