Our take
What does Le Parfum in White smell like?
Elie Saab launched Le Parfum in White in 2018 as a take on Le Parfum from 2011. Francis Kurkdjian, who wrote the original, signed this one with Jérôme Di Marino. The white in the name is about more than the bottle. Orange blossom opens alongside mandarin and bergamot, with a few red berries adding a tart edge. The heart rests on jasmine and a velvety peach that rounds everything off. It smells more like a wedding dress than a bouquet. The base explains the floral chypre label, though the moss stays quiet. White amber and white musk give a clean linen feel. Patchouli, benzoin and vanilla add gentle warmth underneath while tolu balsam brings a resinous grain. Next to the 2011 Le Parfum, In White is less honeyed and brighter. It suits daylight better.
