Perfumer credits differ between sources, so we leave the name out. The opening is red and tart. Cherry, raspberry and black currant smell more like fruit syrup than a fresh basket. The heart holds the best surprise. A classic rose and jasmine meet wormwood, a bitter herb that cuts the sugar and gives it unexpected texture. The base rests on patchouli alone. It is earthy and slightly dark, which keeps it from turning into candy. The first Miss Dior Chérie comes to mind for that fruit and patchouli pairing, in simpler form. It is well built for its price range. Nothing here is new, but the wormwood gives it real personality.
