Our take
What does La Petite Robe Noire Eau Fraîche smell like?
Thierry Wasser created this Eau Fraîche in 2015 as a spring flanker of La Petite Robe Noire. It lightens the formula without dropping the family traits. The opening is bright and tart. Bergamot, lemon and mandarin give a clean freshness close to lemonade. The heart keeps the line's cherry, surrounded by strawberry, raspberry and peach. A rose and some freesia slip in a floral touch. It is fruity without getting sticky. The base holds on to the bitter almond that runs through La Petite Robe Noire, with soft tonka and an unexpected pistachio. Musk rounds it off. The result is younger and lighter than the eau de parfum, and much less gourmand. Longevity follows suit, a few hours at most. It seems to have left the shelves, though Guerlain never announced it.
When to wear it
