Our take
What does Guess Girl smell like?
Guess launched Guess Girl in February 2013 to celebrate the brand's thirtieth anniversary. It targets a young wearer, and you can tell within seconds. A raspberry nectar opens alongside watery melon and light bergamot. The heart moves to a white bouquet of Brazilian orchid, Provence acacia flower and lily. Acacia brings a honeyed note while lily adds a powdery freshness. The base blends Australian sandalwood, Madagascar bourbon vanilla and skin musk. The result is creamy and soft but never heavy. Aquolina's Pink Sugar pushes the sugar much further. Guess Girl stays fruitier and more floral, and its melon recalls the fresh splashes of the 1990s. It's simple, and it does exactly what you'd expect at its price. The name is plainly aimed at teenagers, and the scent matches that brief. Adults may find it a little thin by the second hour.
When to wear it
Wear it in the daytime in spring or summer, at school or on weekends. Three or four sprays, as it fades fairly quickly.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Guess Girl is one of 10 creations by Guess in our encyclopedia.
