What does Guess Girl Belle smell like?
Guess extended its Girl line with Girl Belle, a fruity floral eau de toilette from 2013. The brand pitched it at a free and confident woman, which tells you very little. The smell is easier to pin down. Wild berries and a pink champagne accord open it. There is a slight fizz, like red fruit syrup topped up with soda water. The heart turns floral with violet, peony and a light jasmine sambac. Violet leads and brings a candy touch. The base rests on creamy Australian sandalwood with musk and a polite vanilla. Nothing here aims for novelty. Think of Marc Jacobs Daisy for the fruity freshness, then add more sugar and a muskier finish. Longevity is average, as is common at this price. Expect three or four hours before it settles into a faint musky haze on the skin.
When to wear it
For weekends and summer days when you don’t want to think about it. Reapply in the afternoon if you want it to last into the evening.
