What does Angel Iced Star smell like?
In spring 2021 Mugler released Angel Iced Star, a limited-edition 50 ml eau de toilette. It is a summer take on Angel, the 1992 scent that launched the gourmand genre. This time the brand went tropical. Coconut water opens. It smells of fresh coconut flesh, more watery than creamy. Pineapple follows in the heart, juicy and a bit sour, so the first minutes feel like a virgin piña colada. Then the house signature comes back. Caramelised praline and earthy patchouli return, softened by a vanilla that smooths the edges. Angel's DNA is there, only diluted in a glass full of ice. Compared with the original Angel, Iced Star is much lighter and far less chocolatey. The patchouli loses its bite. It is fun for an hour. After that your skin mostly holds a fairly ordinary praline.
When to wear it
Wear it on summer days if you like Angel but find it too heavy in the sun. Use three sprays since the EDT fades fast.
