In 2022 Narciso Rodriguez added a Parfum to the For Him Bleu Noir line, composed by Sonia Constant according to retailers. The brand pitches it as the deepest of the series. The opening is textbook. Bergamot and mandarin get a lift from dry cypress and cool cardamom. Nothing new so far. The heart is where it finds its character. Iris shows up powdery and slightly earthy, wrapped in the musk that is the house signature. A suede accord adds the feel of a new glove. The base then slides into tonka bean, cedar and sandalwood, with vetiver keeping some structure. Next to Dior Homme, another masculine built on iris, Bleu Noir Parfum has less lipstick and more leather. It stays very smooth, maybe too polished for some noses. Those who find the eau de toilette too thin will be happier here.
When to wear it
Wear it on autumn and winter evenings, or at an office where you want to smell good quietly. Two sprays on the chest and the tonka does the rest.
