Our take
What does Infusion de Mimosa smell like?
Prada added mimosa to Les Infusions in 2016, a collection composed entirely by Daniela Andrier. She described it as stepping into yellow velvet. The opening is livelier than you might expect, with a faintly liquorice anise and juicy mandarin. Then mimosa settles in, powdery and a little honeyed. Rose absolute keeps it company without crowding it and gives the heart a rounder floral shape. The base is just a quiet, almost sheer wood. It all smells bright and clean with no heavy sugar. Infusion d’Iris remains the line’s benchmark, and next to it Mimosa feels sunnier and happier. It is also more fragile. Expect three to four hours on skin. The mimosa stays true to the flower, without the sugary almond some brands pile on. You smell the yellow fluff more than the honey. Andrier keeps the anise light enough that it never turns into pastis.
When to wear it
Perfect in early spring, when mimosa blooms along the Riviera. Spray it on clothes to gain an extra hour.
It belongs to the Floral family. Infusion de Mimosa is one of 23 creations by Prada in our encyclopedia.
