What does Quatre Iconic smell like?
Boucheron extended its Quatre line in 2022 with Quatre Iconic, inspired by the jewellery collection of the same name. Ane Ayo and Pierre Negrin composed this eau de parfum, which comes in a gold bottle. The house files it under amber florals, and the label fits. Mandarin opens with a juicy flash while pink pepper and ginger give it some grit. Then the tuberose takes over. It is fleshy and a little buttery, without the camphor edge that puts some people off. Peru balsam wraps it in a vanilla-like softness and blackcurrant adds a tart touch. The base darkens with patchouli, ambrox and a vetiver that dries everything out. Fracas remains the great tuberose reference. Quatre Iconic is a more modern and woodier reading, less creamy and easier to wear at night. It also lasts well into the next morning.
When to wear it
An evening scent for the cold season. One or two sprays are enough, since the tuberose fills a room quickly.
