Our take
What does Mini Jupe smell like?
Courrèges launched Mini Jupe in spring 2018. The name nods to the garment the house made famous in the 1960s. Jean Jacques and Antoine Lie composed it, and it opened as a three-month Nocibé exclusive in France. First comes cool watermelon with candied mandarin. A streak of grapefruit cuts the sugar. In the heart, jasmine and orange blossom stay light and almost sheer. The base shifts the mood. Vanilla and hazelnut give a praline feel while sandalwood and amberwood hold the structure. Powdery violet and musk soften the drydown. The drydown sits close to the skin after a couple of hours. The result is a young fruity gourmand that never takes risks. Next to Guerlain's La Petite Robe Noire, another scent named after a piece of clothing, Mini Jupe is more watery at the start and far less cherry at the end.
When to wear it
A daytime scent for spring and summer weekends. Spray it on hair or a scarf, where the hazelnut lasts longer than on skin.
It belongs to the Floral, Gourmand, Fruity family. Mini Jupe is one of 9 creations by Courrèges in our encyclopedia.
