What does This Is Her! Vibes of Freedom smell like?
Zadig & Voltaire released Vibes of Freedom in 2022 as a variation on This Is Her, the house's 2016 feminine scent. Sidonie Lancesseur composed it. The brief was clear: keep the gourmand base of the original and let some air in. The opening is pear, juicy and slightly green, cooled down by peony. Rose and jasmine form the heart. They are clean and light, more of a bridge than the main subject. Then the base settles and the family resemblance shows. Whipped cream and chestnut give that warm dessert smell, somewhere between marron glacé and sweetened milk. Here it feels lighter than in the 2016 perfume. Compared with Lancôme's La Vie est Belle, another best-selling floral gourmand, Vibes of Freedom is less sugary and fruitier at the start. The bottle keeps the brand's rock-chic look.
When to wear it
A daytime scent for spring and lazy weekends, when you want something gourmand without winter heaviness. Three sprays on the neck and wrists carry you through the morning.
