Our take
What does La Fille de l'Air Monoï smell like?
Courrèges released La Fille de l’Air Monoï in 2017, an eau de parfum composed by Fabrice Pellegrin. It takes La Fille de l’Air on holiday. The opening is greener than you might expect. Bergamot and neroli shine with the bitterness of a crushed leaf. Orange blossom absolute soon takes over. It is rich and slightly indolic without turning soapy. The base brings in the monoi: an accord of tiare flower and sun oil carried by warm vanilla. The brand wisely kept the sugar down. You smell sunscreen more than dessert. Compared with Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess, which leans on coconut and amber, the Courrèges monoi stays more floral and brighter. Bloggers took to it as a summer favorite, and it is easy to see why.
When to wear it
For summer and sunny days, daytime or dinner outdoors. Two sprays on bare shoulders.
It belongs to the Floral family. La Fille de l'Air Monoï is one of 9 creations by Courrèges in our encyclopedia.
