Our take
What does Les Sorbets de Nina smell like?
In 2019, Nina Ricci released Les Sorbets de Nina as a limited edition eau de toilette. The idea came from Amorino gelato, and the apple bottle got pastel colours. No perfumer was named. The opening smells like a scoop of sorbet: tangy lemon, raspberry and satsuma mandarin. It is fresh and sweet without weight. The heart stays within the house's floral style, with creamy gardenia and a little jasmine. The base is just a soft praline. It brings to mind the cone more than the cake. Next to the far more caramelised Nina from 2006, this sorbet is light and almost watery. Nina L'Eau had already gone that way while staying floral. Here the treat stays in front. Being a limited run, it now turns up mostly at discount sellers.
