What does Bella Vita smell like?
Guess released Bella Vita in spring 2020, an eau de parfum composed by Christine Hassan and Valérie Garnuch-Mentzel of Drom. The opening tastes like a jar of jam just opened. Black cherry and blackcurrant lead, and Italian lemon stops the sugar from sticking straight away. The heart is a small surprise. Creamy tuberose and jasmine give the fruit some body while vanilla orchid bridges to what comes next. Then praline takes over. Tonka, amber woods and musk build a warm biscuit base that is fairly dense and lasts well on skin. The structure recalls Lancôme's La Vie est Belle, fruitier and with less iris. Bella Vita sits at a much lower price and owns it. It is an easy, generous perfume with no interest in nuance. Fans of sweet scents will get their money's worth.
When to wear it
Wear it in cool weather, during the day or on a relaxed date. One or two sprays are enough because the praline builds quickly.
