Our take
What does Pasha Édition Noire Sport smell like?
Cartier released Pasha Édition Noire Sport in 2015, two years after Pasha Édition Noire. The style has little to do with the 1992 Pasha, a classic aromatic fougère. This one bets on freshness from the first spray. Juicy melon, citrus and watery notes smell like a pool on a sunny day. That phase lasts about half an hour. Then the marine accord warms up and a slightly syrupy amber takes over. Cedar, sandalwood and ambroxan form the base, and the warmth pulls it away from its sport label. By the end it resembles plenty of fresh masculines sold in any perfume chain. Pasha Édition Noire is darker and more fougère, so this flanker reads younger and less distinctive. Longevity is honest at around eight hours. The melon is the most memorable moment, and it doesn’t last.
