Our take
What does Bloom Ambrosia di Fiori smell like?
Gucci intensified Bloom in autumn 2019 with Ambrosia di Fiori, an eau de parfum intense by Alberto Morillas, who also wrote the original. The core is unchanged: jasmine, tuberose and Rangoon creeper. That climbing Asian flower is rarely used in perfume. Jasmine comes in first, fairly green. Tuberose follows and quickly takes over, creamy and a little waxy. The two additions make the difference. A dense Damask rose and orris give the whole thing a powdery texture that feels cooler and more luxurious. Gucci Bloom is very white and almost cosmetic. Ambrosia feels riper and more powdery. Its tuberose invites a comparison with Fracas, though less buttery and more modern. On skin the iris takes over in the end, and the tuberose recedes into a creamy hum. This is a white floral for committed fans.
When to wear it
For a spring or autumn evening, worn with something simple. One or two sprays, as the tuberose fills a room fast.
It belongs to the Floral family. Bloom Ambrosia di Fiori is one of 16 creations by Gucci in our encyclopedia.
