Our take
What does Guilty Black pour Femme smell like?
Gucci introduced Guilty Black pour Femme in 2013, paired with a men's version. Aurélien Guichard, who had composed Guilty pour Femme in 2010, reworked his formula to make it darker and fruitier. The opening mixes red berries and pink pepper with a redcurrant tang. The heart is less expected. Raspberry and peach rub against lilac and violet, a slightly powdery floral pairing that recalls violet candies. The base keeps the Guilty DNA of patchouli and amber, with a hint of caramel according to some retailers. Compared with Guilty pour Femme, which is more peppery and lilac-forward, Black is juicier and more gourmand. It isn't the most original flanker, but it fully embraces its night-out mood. Gucci has since pulled it from its own site, though some online retailers still stock it.
When to wear it
For an autumn night out or a date. Two sprays are plenty, and the patchouli will still be on your clothes the next morning.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Guilty Black pour Femme is one of 16 creations by Gucci in our encyclopedia.
