Our take
What does Lacoste pour Femme smell like?
Olivier Cresp composed Lacoste pour Femme in 2003, an Eau de Parfum that has little to do with the brand's tennis image. The opening is the odd part. Pepper and freesia make a sharp, almost alcoholic note that one reviewer compared to a pediatrician's office. It fades within minutes. Heliotrope then moves to the center, powdery and honeyed, with its marshmallow and sweet almond smell. Jasmine, rose and hibiscus stay quietly around it. Ambrette adds a musky warmth. The base is the best stage. A velvety skin accord sits on cedar and sandalwood, and a thread of incense keeps it drier than you would expect. Some retailers add suede and apple to the list, which fits the soft texture of the trail. It is a hushed perfume and stranger than it first seems.
When to wear it
Good for the office, spring or grey autumn days. Three sprays are reasonable since projection stays moderate.
It belongs to the Floral, Woody, Musky family. Lacoste pour Femme is one of 14 creations by Lacoste in our encyclopedia.
