What does Les Sorbets de Bella smell like?
Nina Ricci launched Les Sorbets in 2019, a limited series inspired by Italian gelato. It revisits three of the house's scents: Nina, Luna and Bella, the last one released in 2018. Les Sorbets de Bella opens with green mandarin and tart grapefruit. Rhubarb and pomegranate add a red, juicy sourness. The heart surprises with shiso. This Japanese leaf brings a green, slightly anise-like and peppery note that freshens the violet and rose. The house describes a rose jelly effect. The base settles for light, quiet woods. Compared with Cacharel's Amor Amor Electric Kiss, another rhubarb scent from the same year, Les Sorbets de Bella feels more sheer and less chypre-like. It's a summer eau de toilette that lasts only a few hours. Being a limited edition, it's now hard to find.
When to wear it
Spray it freely in high summer, after the beach or before a picnic. Plan on a second round in the afternoon.
