Our take
What does Amor Amor in a Flash smell like?
Cacharel released Amor Amor in a Flash as a limited edition in spring 2013. Pierre Negrin of Firmenich took love at first sight as his theme and turned it into a funfair treat. Mandarin and apricot open with ripe, velvety fruit. The heart smells like a candy apple: red apple coated in toffee, with jasmine hanging back. At the base, vanilla picks up some cinnamon and a little sandalwood dries things off. This is fruity gourmand with no ambiguity at all. The 2003 Amor Amor is more floral and tart, while this flanker leans hard on sugar. Sweet tooths will love it and others probably won’t. It has since been discontinued but still shows up on discount sites. The cinnamon gives the drydown the feel of a still-warm apple pie, which is the nicest part.
When to wear it
Wear it on weekends or for a casual date in mild weather. Two sprays are plenty because the toffee spreads quickly.
It belongs to the Floral, Gourmand, Fruity family. Amor Amor in a Flash is one of 14 creations by Cacharel in our encyclopedia.
