Our take
What does See by Chloé smell like?
Chloé launched See by Chloé in February 2013 to go with its younger ready-to-wear line of the same name. Michel Almairac of Robertet wrote the formula. The opening is tart. Bergamot meets a crunchy fruit note that brings green apple to mind. In the heart, apple blossom and jasmine form a light, cottony bouquet that stays close to the skin. The jasmine is not indolic at all. It smells like a freshly cut flower. The base lays soft vanilla over creamy sandalwood. The result is more gourmand than the 2008 Chloé and younger too, without its powdery rose. See by Chloé makes no attempt at originality. It is a cheerful, easy perfume meant for everyday wear without much thought. An Eau Fraîche followed in 2014.
When to wear it
Spring and summer, during the day. Three or four sprays, as it is light.
