What does Her Blossom smell like?
Burberry added Her Blossom to the Her line in 2019 as an eau de toilette. Retailers credit Francis Kurkdjian with the formula, though the brand hasn't made much of it. The opening is bright. Juicy mandarin meets a pink pepper that tickles more than it bites. Peony then takes the lead, with plum blossom giving it a fruity edge. Think of a bouquet bought on a Saturday morning, stems still wet. The base keeps a low profile. Clean musk and a light sandalwood hold on to skin for a few hours and no longer. Nothing jars here, and nothing really sticks in the memory either. Next to the 2018 Her, with its red berries and sugar, Blossom feels airier and far less gourmand. It's the flanker for people who found the original too sticky. It isn't better, only lighter.
